What is the difference between QA Procedure and QC Procedure? Please explain with example.?
Usually the QA Procedure describes the process requirements i.e. 10 % of galvanated throggle pin washers must be checked for diameter tolerance and the failure rate must not exceed 1.5%. The QC Procedure would be a Work Instruction "How to check the diameter tolerance of a galvanated throggle pin washer" and would be more correctly called a QC (or QA) Work Instruction in the documentation tree. They can be in the same Procedure document with the Work Instruction as a schedule or appendix, it all depends on how the QMS Document Control system is defined as per clause 4.2.3 of the 2008 (4.9 of the 1994) version of ISO9000. I've found it's always best to keep Procedures and WI's separate particularly if a Procedure is the top level document of multiple Work Instructions.
