Which is better, clip-on or semi-permanent hair feathers?

I would like to know if the clip-on hair feathers you can buy at a place like Sephora ($25) is better than getting them micro-beaded into my hair. I am currently at a beach where the shops convientely have feathers. It is about $15 for one or $25 for two. I am not sure whether to buy the clip-on or get them one.
